Our Latest Adventure!

Last Monday morning we started out on a journey. Our first stop was at beautiful Lake Havasu to see London Bridge. Yes, it is REALLY London Bridge. It was sold by the city of London in the 60's and reassembled on Lake Havasu. After lunch in Lake Havasu, we headed to Hoover Dam. While there, this cute little guy decided to snack on some potato chips. He was very photogenic!

Viva Las Vegas! After our stop in Lake Havasu, we headed for Vegas! Dec was very excited about it. We did all the typical Vegas sightseeing and some special things for Declan! First it was The Auto Collection at Imperial Palace, then Exotic Cars at Ceasars Palace and Penske Wynn Ferrari Masserati at the Wynn hotel. We also stopped at M&M World where Dec met Yellow and Green!

After our time in Vegas, we drove back over the Hoover Dam to see the Grand Canyon. It is probably one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen! We stopped at a couple view points on the South Rim then to "Dessert View" on the East rim.

On Friday, Stephen, Dec and I went to see the NASCAR Busch series race at Phoenix International Raceway. We got there early to watch practice for the Nextel Cup race and did some shopping at the souvenir trailers. Here are Stephen and Dec at the track.
We discovered on Thursday night we could see the track from the highway right near Donna and Kevin's house. We even saw the fireworks after the race Saturday from the middle of their street, between 2 houses. It is about a 20 minute ride to the track.
On Saturday we took a ride to Scottsdale to see Stephen's Aunt Betty. Once we picked her up, we went to a park where they had little trains, a merry go round and playgrounds. It was a really nice park!

After our train adventure, we went to Old Town Scottsdale. I took this picture near the parking lot where we parked. It turned out to be a pretty cute picture!
This picture is of the singing cowboy who was riding around. It added a great touch. We found a poster that said his name is Gary Sprauge and his trusty horse, Dusty.
This picture is one of the unique buildings we saw in Scottsdale.
